Lakes classed as category 1:
- the Plagnes lake (à 1191m) accessible by car from Abondance (A5) from the 1st April to 8th October. Fishing competitions on the 16th July and the 20th August from 14h to 17h. Further information from the Abondance Tourist Office.

- The Fontaine lake, accessible by car from Vacheresse. Open from the 1st May to the 8th October.
- The Taveneuse lake (at1805m): fish in its turquoise waters, a welcome reward after the two hour walk it takes to get there! Open from the 3rd June to the 8th October. 

Ludovic is a fishing guide, and the Abondance valley is one of his favourite haunts.
 Fly fishing, course fishing, line fishing: pulling out all the stops to catch a beautiful Fario trout. During these fishing trips, Ludovic will point out some of the natural beauties that the mountains are so famous for, including their flora and fauna. What more could you wish for!

- Adults’ season pass: 90 €, for those holding a permit from another department in France: 62 €
- Children: -18 years rod and reel fishing: 25 € ; -12 years  simple fishing rod: 5 €
- Day licence: 12 €
- Tourist ‘7 day holiday’ licence: 28 €
- Licence for a fortnight: 34 €, only for those holding a valid licence from another department in France.
